Our willow coffins are constructed from natural stripped plantation willow saplings, woven into the typical coffin form and finished with an attractive woven hem. A straw wood base is fixed to the underside which helps it to move steadily along running tables (these also help maintain its rigidity). The interior of the coffin, including the lid is fully lined in an unbleached calico. Calico headrests and veils are included. There are three strong willow woven handles on either side. All our coffins are suitable for both cremation and burial, and since there are no toxic chemicals used during manufacturing they are also far better for the environment than most alternatives.
